About Us

Spread the love
This is a stereotypical picture of us: an Argentinian Gaucho and a Russian Matryoshka 🙂

We are an international couple who decided to solve a problem of 13000 km distance between our hometowns by travelling together.

Martin’s first visit to St.Petersburg. All credits for the picture to our big friend Olga Shakova 🙂

Who is Martin?

Martin is enjoying the view at the Camino al Cuadrado, Cordoba, Argentina

Martin comes from the city of Cordoba, Argentina. It is located in the very center of the country and has stunning mountain landscapes. Cordoba has one of the oldest universities in America and a lot of historical buildings from colonial times.

The Cathedral of Córdoba (Our Lady of the Assumption; Spanish: Nuestra Señora de la Asunción)

Cordoba is also a province that has many marvelous places with mountain rivers and lakes and a wide range of birds from tiny colibris to huge condors. I’ve spent quite a lot of time trying to film both, and I managed to get some seconds of video 🙂 We will write posts on our adventures in Argentina later so you can enjoy it with us 🙂

Who is Anna?

Anna at the beautiful seaside of Saint-Petersburg, November 2018

Anna comes from the cultural capital of Russia, Saint-Petersburg. It is located very close to the borders with Finland and Estonia which gives a good reason to travel to Europe as often as possible.

However, Saint-Petersburg is an amazing city itself. It has a rich history, beautiful architecture, big cultural heritage. Many of famous Russian and later Soviet writers and poets, scientists, artists, dancers and others lived there.

The weather in the city is quite unpredictable, often cold and rainy (like this year, the Summer is awful). Nevertheless, it should not stop anyone from doing tourism as there is a lot to see and experience in the city and its suburbs.

Travelling is fun 😀

Since we have around 13200 km between our cities, we have decided to turn this little issue into an advantage. We spend some time in Russia, some time in Argentina and the rest of time we travel.

Flying is one of the most exciting (and frightening) parts of the travel

To keep our friends and families updated on where we are now in an easier way, we’ve come to an idea to have this blog. We also like to keep memories of our trips and re-watch pictures and videos, recall funny situations and nice moments. This blog should be helpful with it too.

We also will be glad if someone else finds some useful information for themselves. We do quite a lot of research before going anywhere. If our experience can help someone to plan a trip, we’ll be really glad.

If you have any questions, comments or advice, feel free to let us know. We’ll be glad to hear from you!
